Eliane Elias - 1989 - So Far So Close








[Português] O álbum "So Far So Close"  de 1989 foi o quarto da carreia da pianista brasileira Eliane Elias, e o primeiro pela gravadora Blue Note. Hoje , com um acervo discográfico respeitável, a pianista é uma grande referência no jazz internacional e principalmente no âmbito do jazz "sambado". Entre os diversos discos, este foi escolhido pela sonoridade particular, pela beleza, pelas composições e criatividade rítmica marcantes do álbum, que contou com nomes importantes no jazz atual como o baterista Peter Erskine, os percussionistas Don Alias e Café, o baixista Will Lee, os metais dos irmãos Michael Brecker e Randy Brecker, e o sintetizador de Jim Beard. 

[English] The 1989 album "So Far So Close" was the fourth from the career of the Brazilian pianist Eliane Elias, and the first by the label Blue Note. Today, with a respectable record collection the pianist is a Great reference in international jazz and especially in the ambit of jazz with a samba feel. Among the various albums, this was chosen by the particular sonority, the beauty, good compositions and rhythmic creativity, with a important band names in contemporary jazz such as the drummer Peter Erskine, percussionists Don Alias and Cafe, the bassist Will Lee, plus the metals of the brothers Michael Brecker and Randy Brecker, and the Jim Beard's synthesizer.
